ClarinetFest 2010
Austin, Texas, USA
July 21-25, 2010
If I were going to ClarinetFest 2010, I would make sure I heard the following recitals, concerts and lectures. Also, once I checked into the event, I’d study the program for musical selections and clarinetist and group biographies.
In looking at musical selections, I would pick an assortment of clarinet classics that I know and new works that seem interesting.
ClarinetFest 2010 is a collaboration of the I.C.A. (International Clarinet Association). If you are a Texas clarinetist, do your best to attend as much of the event as possible.
Click here for the full schedule of ClarinetFest 2010 as well as performance locations and fees.
Young Artist and Orchestral Excerpt competitions occur each day. I would try to attend a few of these events. Also, numerous vendors will allow you to try mouthpieces, barrels, reeds, ligatures, clarinets and sell and variety of accessories.
