I have wrapped my reed with string onto the mouthpiece and it does give an even feel and smooth sound. It is the old fashioned way, though, I have not tried The Klassik. Seems a little pricey for string, but if it works for you, it is worth it. Thanks for your observation and good luck to you. Chris
