I went to a good music store in Oakland last thursday and tryed all the high end horns. I thought I'd lean toward selmers but that wasn't the case. Out of a Buffet festival, Selmer St Louis, Selmer Signerature, older buffet R13, new one, and Leblanc opus and LL models the only ones I liked were the newer buffet and the LL Leblanc. Then when a buddy of mine turned around and listened to all three he said the differnces were subtle at best. So I saves 3K. I did try out a Leblanc Dynamic horn and it looked interesting but needed alot of work so I passed. But I guess I should feel lucky that my 200 dollar craiglist Yamaha 34 holds its own with the high end horns. K
